Enter Las Vegas Christmas lights,
jingle bells (Batman smells)
robins and their eggs.

Watch the shopping carts wheel
and children squeal
atop the pullout seat

Cardboard silhouettes
of blackened trees
glued against the fiery night,
poke the clouds artistically
(or frightfully--depends on what you see)

Four months dormant,
death frozen on display...
and we will skate on him

'Till the kettle runs out
and the left mitt gets lost
Just listen to the moving sky
